A BEAUTIFUL DAY. A STORY WORTH REMEMBERING.

Wedding Photographer in Oxford

Hello, my name is Christian and I’m a wedding photographer providing natural, relaxed wedding photography throughout Oxford and the surrounding Oxfordshire area.

Oxford offers an incredible backdrop for a wedding, from its historic city-centre architecture and famous colleges to beautiful hotels, gardens and countryside venues just outside the city. My approach is all about capturing your day naturally, allowing those surroundings to become part of the story without taking the focus away from the people and moments that matter most.

My style is relaxed, friendly and unobtrusive. I’ll offer guidance when you need it, particularly for couple portraits and family photographs, but for most of your wedding day I’ll simply document what is happening around me.

You won’t spend hours being pulled away from your guests or constantly asked to pose for the camera. Instead, I focus on genuine reactions, natural interactions and all the little moments that make your wedding uniquely yours.

With flexible coverage, professionally edited high-resolution images and secure private gallery delivery, you’ll receive a collection of photographs that captures not only how your Oxford wedding looked, but how it genuinely felt.

With you each step of the way

  1. Planning your wedding photography should feel exciting and straightforward. From the moment you get in touch, I’ll guide you through the process and make sure your photography is planned around your day rather than the other way around.

  2. Once your wedding date is reserved and your deposit has been paid, you’ll receive a detailed wedding questionnaire. This helps me learn more about your plans, locations, timings, family groups and the people and moments that are particularly important to you.

  3. Every wedding photography package also includes time for us to meet before the wedding. Where possible, we can arrange a relaxed couples photoshoot and visit your Oxford wedding venue together. It’s a great opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera, explore potential locations for photographs and talk through how everything will work on the day.

  4. As your wedding approaches, we’ll have a final conversation to confirm timings, important photographs and any last-minute changes.

  5. On the wedding day itself, my approach is calm and unobtrusive. I’ll capture the atmosphere, emotions, reactions and details as they naturally unfold while stepping in with friendly direction whenever it’s helpful.

  6. You’ll receive a small selection of preview photographs within 48 hours, giving you something special to enjoy and share straight away. Your complete collection of professionally edited, high-resolution wedding photographs will then be delivered through a secure private online gallery within 30 days.

Wedding Venues in Oxford

Oxford has no shortage of incredible settings for a wedding, whether you're looking for historic architecture in the heart of the city or something more relaxed on the outskirts.

The Bodleian Libraries provide one of Oxford's most recognisable historic settings, while Rhodes House offers beautiful architecture and gardens in central Oxford. Couples looking for something particularly distinctive can also celebrate at the Ashmolean Museum, surrounded by some of the city's most impressive interiors.

For a completely different setting, Voco Oxford Thames combines extensive grounds and a riverside location with the convenience of being close to Oxford itself.

I also photograph weddings throughout the wider Oxford area, including Headington, Summertown, Cowley, Kidlington, Wheatley, Abingdon, Woodstock and the surrounding Oxfordshire countryside.

Whatever setting you choose, my aim is to incorporate the character and atmosphere of your venue naturally into the photographs while keeping the focus firmly on you, your guests and the story of the day.

Let’s Talk About Your Oxford Wedding

Frequently Asked Questions - Wedding Photography in Oxford

Do you photograph weddings throughout Oxford and Oxfordshire?

Yes. I provide wedding photography throughout Oxford and the surrounding area, including Headington, Summertown, Cowley, Kidlington, Wheatley, Abingdon, Woodstock and locations across the wider Oxfordshire countryside.

If you're unsure whether I cover your particular venue or location, simply get in touch and I'll be happy to confirm.

What style of wedding photography do you offer?

My approach is natural, relaxed and unobtrusive.

For much of your wedding day, I'll document events as they happen, concentrating on genuine expressions, interactions and moments rather than constantly asking you or your guests to pose.

I’ll still provide plenty of friendly guidance for your couple portraits and important family photographs, giving you a combination of beautiful portraits and natural documentary-style images.

Do you photograph smaller and intimate Oxford weddings?

Absolutely.

Oxford is particularly well suited to smaller weddings, city-centre ceremonies and more intimate celebrations, and my Micro Wedding Collection offers up to two hours of photography for couples who don't require half-day or full-day coverage.

If you require something slightly different, I can also create a bespoke package around your plans.

Do your wedding packages include a couples photoshoot?

Yes. My wedding photography packages include a complimentary couples photoshoot before the wedding, where possible.

This gives us the opportunity to get to know one another, help you become more comfortable in front of the camera and capture some relaxed photographs together before the wedding day.

It's also a useful opportunity for you to experience the way I work before the wedding itself.

Can you visit our Oxford wedding venue before the day?

Yes. Where practical, I’m very happy to visit your Oxford wedding venue before the wedding.

This gives us an opportunity to explore the surroundings, consider possible locations for couple and family photographs and discuss how the photography will fit around your schedule.

If your venue is in central Oxford, we can also talk through any practical considerations surrounding access, timings and moving between locations.

Can we have wedding photographs around Oxford city centre?

Yes. If your wedding plans and timings allow, Oxford provides some fantastic opportunities for couple photographs using the city's historic streets and architecture as a backdrop.

Rather than turning this into a lengthy staged photoshoot, I prefer to keep these photographs relaxed and incorporate them naturally into your wedding day.

We can discuss potential locations and timings during our pre-wedding planning so everything feels organised beforehand.

How far in advance should we book our Oxford wedding photographer?

Popular wedding dates, particularly Saturdays during spring and summer, can be booked well in advance.

I recommend getting in touch once you have confirmed your wedding date and venue so I can check availability.

Your date is formally secured once your service agreement has been signed and your booking deposit has been received.

How quickly will we receive our wedding photographs?

You’ll receive a small selection of preview images within 48 hours of your wedding so you have photographs to enjoy and share shortly after the day.

Your complete collection will then be professionally edited and delivered as high-resolution images through a secure private online gallery within 30 days.

Will you help us plan our wedding photography timings?

Yes. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a detailed questionnaire covering your schedule, locations, important family photographs and any particular moments you would like captured.

We’ll also have a final conversation before your wedding to confirm the timings and make any last-minute adjustments.

The aim is to have everything organised beforehand so that on the wedding day you can concentrate on enjoying yourselves rather than worrying about photography.
